The query loop block lets you list posts and pages. You can display them in all sorts of different ways and order and filter the posts.
For example our home page uses the Query Loop block to show the last four tips. For each post it shows the featured image, the title & and excerpt.

- On the right had side we have set the block to display posts, and have filtered by the category tip.
